Arsovska faced a long battle of black campaigns in the lead to her win and was scrutinised by the coalition publically and brutally. It is unfathomable that women like Arsovska are still struggling to rise in their professional journey and are subjected to misogynistic ridicule by an ancient mindset where only men can lead in these roles. Arsovska outshone the attacks and presented herself with class and a positive campaign, focusing on the important issues the city desperately yearned for.

Her greatest support, motivation and inspiration for everything she does are her husband and son.
The National Council for Gender Equality of Macedonia welcomed the decision of the majority of citizens of Skopje to vote for Arsovska, which showed gender sensitivity and progressiveness, and that finally, Skopje received a woman Mayor.
